Two Sides of All Things

The Ying-Yang reminds us that there is positive and negative in every moment. Our life is defined by where we place our focus. My inclination is always to go to the negative – it seems more natural and appropriate. However, the rewards of focusing on the positive are much greater.

I was simply stating that my first reaction to a situation is often a negative one even though it doesn't have to be. In any situation I can respond with faith that things are working out for the best (even if it doesn't feel that way) or I can lack faith and think "everything is falling apart." My first thought is often "everything sucks," but then my spiritual self kicks-in (usually) and reminds me that I'm being led down a path that will ultimately prove positive.
